The company backs up their claims of “100-cores” by combining 96 StemCell Media Processing cores that operate right alongside the main 1.5GHz ARM Cortex-A9 quad-core processor. What does all this mean? Well, I honestly have no clue but besides sounding rather impressive, ZiiLabs is promising double the performance at only half the power consumption of their previous ZMS-20 processor and that's something I can jive with. The ZMS-40 is designed specifically to take advantage of devices running on Android 4.0 and we should see a few of tablets powered by one of these bad boys at next weeks CES.
