Shuttle hits back by showing off their newest barebone mini PC, the SX79R5. Based on Intel X79 chipset, this space-saving system is equipped with a 2.13GHz Intel Atom D2700 processor, one 5.25-inch HDD bay, one 3.5-inch HDD bay, four DDR3-1600/1333 slots, two PCI Express x16 slots, one mini PCI Express slot, one mSATA slot, dual Gigabit Ethernet, a DVI-I port, an HDMI port, USB 3.0, USB 2.0 and a 500W 80PLUS BRONZE power supply. The SX79R5 will start shipping from April 28th for 37,800 Yen (about $467).
