OCZ is about to launch a new line of SATA 6.0 Gbps SSDs into the market, the Petrol. Available in three different storage capacities: 128GB, 256GB and 512GB, these entry-level 2.5-inch SSDs are equipped with MLC NAND Flash memory chips, a SATA 6.0 Gbps interface, an Indilinx Everest controller, TRIM support, a MTBF of 1,250,000 hours and provide read/write speeds of up to 360/135 MB/s (128GB Model), 370/240 MB/s (256GB Model) and 370 /250 MB/s (512GB Model), respectively. The Petrol series will be available from late December for 14,000 Yen / $180 (128GB Model), 31,000 Yen / $399 (256GB Model) and 65,000 Yen / $837 (512GB Model), respectively.
